The Placement Department of the College of Information Technology delivers job placement based on the principle of tailoring a job search strategy from the time the individual becomes a student at this College.

In an ever-changing economy where the only job security is the knowing that, there is "no" job security, adopting a new mind-frame and embracing the need to learn new skill sets is the key to succeeding in the today's labor market.

	A long-life learning process.
	Entrepreneurship/Independence.

The focus is to develop the student's skills in a gradual mode by offering employment related to the career program goals they have set for themselves. When the student is in the last 45 days prior to finish the program the Job Search Campaign become more intense.

In order to ensure the student's career goals attainment several activities take place:

The Student attends a Job Search Seminar twice a week up to a month with an open entry at any time after they have completed the entire Job Search program. In another words after the student completes the Job Search Seminar he/she can come in to attend a specific class he/she may need to refresh on. The seminars cover a review on Job Search Skills Readiness, Resume writing/review, Interviewing Skills, Salary Negotiation, etc. Most of the students have received training on such issues from various agencies, however, what we attempt to do is to ensure every student is proficient and up-to-date on such skills.

The second part of the seminars are design to develop hand on activities to develop specific skills such as; Designing your road map to success, Effective Skill Presentation, "PROVE IT", "One Minute Commercial", Mock Interviews, "How to salvage a bad interview" and many other issues.

The Placement Assistance Department offers a wide range of career services such as:
